Alison Moss-Solomon
A publicist and TV show producer by trade, Alison first decided to write a children’s book when she became a mother at 31. Constantly watching children’s TV with her son, she soon realised that many cultures were being represented by colourful, loveable characters such as Dora, Diego and Kai Lan.
However what she found was missing was a Caribbean character her son could identify with, someone out of many one people with unique skills, relevant to his island home. From this inspiration the character Kingston and the idea for Irie Morning was born.
