Between growing up in Trinidad and Tobago and living in the United States, Tamika has always been observing the rich stories unfolding around her. She first attempted novel writing when she was twelve years old, penning a young adult story in two notebooks that she stuck together by the covers with glue. Tamika was first published in The Caribbean Writer with her short story entitled A Christmas Eve Wedding. She holds an English degree from Morgan State University and enjoys writing almost as much as she loves reading. Dreams Beyond the Shore is her first published novel.
